How to Use the Bra Size Calculator
A Bra Size Calculator is an online tool that helps you determine your correct bra size based on two key measurements: underbust and bust circumference. Using accurate sizing is crucial for comfort, posture, and confidence.
Why Use a Bra Size Calculator?
Many people wear the wrong bra size, often due to outdated fittings or guessing. This calculator provides a quick, easy way to estimate your proper bra size from the comfort of home.
How It Works
The calculator uses two inputs:
- Underbust (Band Size): Measured directly under your bust, in inches.
- Bust Measurement: The fullest part of your chest, also in inches.
It then:
- Rounds the band size to the nearest even number (common in US sizing).
- Calculates the difference between bust and band measurements.
- Assigns a cup size based on the difference:
- 1 inch = A
- 2 inches = B
- 3 inches = C
- and so on.
How to Measure
- Underbust: Use a soft tape measure, exhale, and measure snugly around your ribcage right under your bust.
- Bust: Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, with the tape horizontal and even.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Enter your underbust measurement in inches (e.g., 30).
- Enter your bust measurement in inches (e.g., 35).
- Click the “Calculate Bra Size” button.
- The result will show a size like
34C
or36DD
.
Example
- Underbust: 31 inches → rounded to 32
- Bust: 36 inches
- Difference: 4 inches → Cup Size = D
Result: 32D
Bra Size Calculator FAQ
What measurements do I need?
You need your underbust and bust measurements in inches.
How accurate is this calculator?
It provides a good estimate based on U.S. sizing but may vary depending on brand and body shape.
What if I get “Unknown” as a result?
This means the cup size is outside the standard range. Double-check your measurements or consult a professional.
Can I use cm instead of inches?
This calculator currently only supports inches. You can convert cm to inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm) before using it.
Why is the band size rounded?
Most brands use even-numbered band sizes (e.g., 32, 34, 36), so rounding ensures consistency with common sizing.
