AP Psychology Score Calculator – How It Works & How to Use It
The AP Psychology Score Calculator is an online tool that estimates your AP Psych exam score on the College Board’s 1–5 scale using your multiple-choice and free-response performance.
Whether you’re a high school student prepping for test day or checking how practice exam scores translate into the AP scale, this calculator gives you a quick and accurate projection.
Understanding the AP Psychology Exam Structure
The AP Psychology exam has two main sections:
- Multiple-Choice Section
- 100 questions
- Worth 66.7% of your total score
- Scored based on the number of correct answers (no penalty for wrong answers).
- Free-Response Section (FRQs)
- 2 questions (research design & concept application)
- Worth 33.3% of your total score
- Scored on a 0–7 scale per question (max 14 points).
This calculator uses those weightings to convert raw scores into a composite score, which is then mapped to the AP 1–5 scale.
